Sport Competition Rules

Sport competitions are held as a part of Elekrijada. A right to participate is granted to every faculty or post-secondary school in our country or abroad, where the electrical engineering is studied (further referred as faculties).

The competitions are held in accordance to these Rules and national and international rules for particular sport. In case of difference in those three sets of rules, the priority is in respect to the order.

There can be, man, woman and mixed competitions, as well as team and individual ones. All team members have to be from the same faculty. Each faculty can have only one team participating in indoor football, volleyball, basketball and handball tournaments and a maximum of two teams in other team competitions, while there is no such limit in individual competitions. Team competitions are held if there are at least 3 teams from different faculties while individual competitions are held if there are at least 5 competitors from 3 different faculties. The competitions can be held in all olympic sports as long as there are enough competitors and technical possibilities for holding the competition.

The right to participate is granted to all students, ex-students who graduated in the current school year and faculty employs. One can prove his right to compete with student identity card, document issued by the faculty that certifies that the person is a student in addition to national identity card or passport and for faculty employs the document issued by the faculty that proves their employment. The registration of competitors is done before the competition starts.

The competitions are governed by the Coordinator elected by the Organization Board of Elektriada. The Coordinator can be a person or an organization.

Before the start of all the competitions, the Competition Board is formed as a primary governing body. The Board consists of the Coordinator and one representative of each faculty in the competition. The coordinator is automatically the president of the Competition Board. The Competition Board is governing the rules of the competition, appoints the referees for the games, and resolves all objections in second degree. The Board meets whenever it is necessary and the decisions are made by the opinion of the majority of the members present at the moment of voting. The Board decisions are final.

For every particular competition there is a Director appointed by the Coordinator. The Director is responsible for organizing the competition, decides the system and the schedules of the games in coordination with the team leaders or individual competitors. He is also responsible for the drawing of the teams, registering the competitors and teams, appointing the referees, records the competition results, resolves the objections made in first degree, gives a disciplinary measures relative upon the seriousness of the foul, including the disqualification from the competition. He is also responsible for all the documentation and all other issues relating the competition.

The drawing of the team groups and competitor numbers is semi-directed with respect to the results from the previous Elektrijada. If one faculty has two teams the care is taken that those two teams would not be in the same group, and that they should meet as late as possible in the cup-system part of the competition.

For every game there is a record. All competitors have to be registered in the record. The registration of the competitors is done before the game or exceptionally not later than 15 minutes after the end of the game.

For every game the referee is appointed. The referee is responsible for enforcement of the rules and their decisions in that field are final.

The team leader or the individual competitor himself can object the regularity of the competition. The written objection should be given to the Director of the competition immediately after the game. The Director resolves the objection as soon as possible and gives the his written decision. The competitors can object on his decision in a second degree to the Completion Board. The second degree objection must be made as soon as possible in written, and it is given to the Board via the competition Director.

After the competitions the general standings of the faculties is made. For every competition the teams / individuals cometitors can gain G points added to their sum. G is calculated like this:

A)  For te cometitons in: indoor football, volleyball, basketball, handball, table tennis, chess, tennis, waterpolo and shooting:

G = N – M + 1 + B

where:

N is the number of the teams / individuals participating in the competion,

M is the ranking of the team / individual,

B are additional points for first, second and third place respectively:

       •  6,4 and 2 points for cometitions in indoor footbal, vollayball, handball (man),                      basketball      (man), table tennis (man) and chess (man)

     •  3,2 and 1 points for the competitions in basketball (woman), handball (woman), chess (women), tennis, waterpolo and shooting

B) For all the other competitions:

G = B

where B are additional points (3,2 and 1 for the first, second and third place respectively)

If a faculty has two teams in the competition, only the better ranked teams points are added for the general standings. If the team / individual competitor is disqualificated from the competition, it gains no points.
