Sport and Elektrijada
Sport, a very important part of our lives also is a very important part of Elektrijada. Stressed over the year
by lectures, and work on different projects, students relax and have funat the same time, compeeting or cheering for their University's team.
The most important and the mostcrowded sports are football, basketball, handball and volleyball. Also, every year there are contests in chess, table tennis, swimming, waterpolo… The list of sports isn't final, every year new sports are added, and some are excluded, depending on wishes of the majority.
The best part (ask any student) is cheering! Being a part ofthe crowd, sharing the feeling of victory is unique, and stays in one's memory long, long time after Elektrijada is over. Cheering in Elektrijada is different from cheering one could see on any other sport event: the tradition is, in order to bring both sides closer together, for one group of fans to cheer for the opposite team, and vice versa. The goal is to enjoy the game and the good company, not only the ambition to win.
