What is Elektrijada, officialy?

Elektrijada is annual gathering of electrical engineering students with 47 years tradition. It is usually organized in May at one of the most beautiful tourist centers in South-eastern Europe. At last Elektrijada 2007, there were about 2000 students from more than 20 Universities all over the Europe, mostly from Serbia, Montenegro, Bosnia, Slovenia, Macedonia, Croatia, Bulgaria, Switzerland, Germany, Romania and other European countries.

Elektrijada is actually one BIG and important competition between students from different Universities in three fields: SCIENCE, SPORT and HAVING FUN. All Universities are competing in science and sport, running for the General winner in Science, Cup for the General winner in Sport, and for the General winner of Elektrijada. Furthermore, presentations of interesting student projects, discussions about popular topics relate to new trends in Electrical engineering, company presentations, different meetings, are organized during Elektrijada.

What is Elektrijada, unofficially?

Elektrijada is great expansion of positive energy, lot of fun, crazy and unforgettable moments, time that you will remember! If you can imagine 2000 students of EE 5 days together at one place, having fun, cheering from all heart at matches in football, basketball, volleyball, and other sport competitions during all day and having best parties during night, almost without sleeping at all, than you might have a right picture about Elektrijada. However, it is very hard to find right words to describe this unique experience as Elektrijada is.
